Ad Deadlines
New contracts for display ads should be signed and submitted by the 10th of the month prior to publication. (Space may be available for some ads after this deadline, call and ask.) Text, logos and other information for ads to be laid out by the Front Porch should be provided by the 10th. Specifications for repeat ads should be confirmed by the 10th of the month. Finished artwork is due by the 13th (regardless of weekends or holidays). Email files to: design @ fineprintco.com. Positioning
Positioning is based on size of ad; color or black and white; and space available on each page. Exact positioning is available only for full page ads. Ads with multiple insertions will be rotated throughout the paper subject to the factors above. The Front Porch reserves the right to refuse to run an ad after viewing its contents.
Cancellations
Cancellations must be received in writing by the 10th of the month (advertiser must receive email confirmation that the cancellation request was received). Front Porch does not provide refunds but credit is given for placement in a later issue.
Payment/Late Fees
Payment is due by the 15th of the month prior to publication or a late fee will be assessed (unless other arrangements are made at the time contract is signed). Credit card payment can be arranged by calling our bookkeeper. Invoices are sent by fax or email.
Technical Specifications for Ads
Files should be a minimum of 200 dpi and a maximum of 300 dpi. Color files MUST be CMYK only (no RGB or spot color). Black ads must contain only black ink (not cmyk black builds). We recommend TIF or high quality JPG format to ensure files will print exactly as they are submitted. We will accept PDF and EPS files but do not take responsibility for files that may not print exactly as they look in the designer’s computer. The Front Porch may convert PDF or EPS files to high resolution TIF or JPG format if necessary to resolve printing problems and avoid delays at the printer. Files with transparency should be flattened. White must be set to knock out to ensure it doesn’t disappear in printing. Do not use color profiles or compression other than JPG and do not use crop marks. Fonts must be embedded in PDF files. Fonts must be converted to outlines in EPS files. Files will be resized if necessary to match our standard ad sizes. Word or Power Point files are not recommended. If sent, they will be converted to TIF or JPG and fonts are likely to change. Publisher files are not accepted. The Front Porch is laid out using Quark 7.3 for Mac. For technical questions about setting up ad files, please call 303.526.1969.
