Cookin’ Up Hot Jazz on January 31
Join an evening of jazz and food on January 31 at American Classic Piano, 2007 Dallas St. in Aurora. Starting at 6pm meet and greet legendary jazz performers, and enjoy a buffet dinner, desserts, and wine and beer. Performances by The Hazel Miller Trio, The Annie Booth Trio, Marlo Mortensen, and Warren Niles Baker will begin at 7pm. Monday–Friday Weekly Stapleton Walks
Monday through Friday weekly, join the free Stapleton walks hosted by Chris at EatWalkLearn and Ed at StapletonWalks, two volunteers for Walk2Connect, a Colorado-based social group creating connections between people and their neighborhoods through walking. These walking movement leaders head these walks in Stapleton, which are 2.5 miles or one-hour long.

Friday Morning Meditation at Stapleton MCA
Stapleton resident and stress counselor Sandra Thebaud hosts meditation sessions every Friday from 9-10am at the Stapleton MCA community center, 7350 E. 29th Avenue. She gives tips for meditating at home, including: find undisturbed space, sit comfortably with eyes closed, watch your thoughts enter and allow them to leave your mind, practice for 20 minutes a day. Cocktails for a Cause February 9
Cocktails for a Cause (CFAC) will be hosting their next event in support of Father Woody’s Haven of Hope, a local Denver nonprofit, from 5:30-10pm on February 9, 2016 at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum. Father Woody’s Haven of Hope is a day shelter serving the homeless and indigent in the Denver metro area. Their mission is to provide food, shelter, clothing, counseling, rehabilitation and hygienic services to the homeless. In addition to a $10 attendance fee, all event attendees are asked to bring suggested items found on our website http://www.cocktailsforacauseco.org/events/father-woodys-haven-of-hope/ as their “admission ticket” into the event where wine and food is served.
